Skate Rental: $6 per pair, available on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is free to attend with a food shelf donation.

The second event the City of Farmington will host for National Skating Month is Open Skate. The second event will be on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, from 1:30-3 pm at the Schmitz-Maki Arena, 114 W. Spruce Street. Skate rentals are $6 per pair and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is free to attend with a donation to the food shelf. All food shelf donations will be given to Farmington Food Shelf.

Regular open skate will continue at Schmitz-Maki Arena on Wednesdays from 11 am to 12:30 pm and Sundays from 1:30 to 3 pm through Friday, March 6, 2026. Skip Wednesday, Dec. 31.
