Editorial Video Licensing

Need breaking news footage?

Limitless Media licenses original editorial video covering breaking news, public safety incidents, severe weather, community events, and government news throughout Minnesota.

Select editorial video is available to participating news organizations through the Associated Press.

Organizations may also license video, photography, and other original content directly from Limitless Media.

1. Copyright Ownership

All written articles, photographs, videos, graphics, and other materials published on Limitless Media News (limitless-news.com) and our official mobile apps are the exclusive property of Limitless Production Group LLC, unless otherwise noted.

Our content is protected under U.S. and international copyright laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, or public display of our materials without express written consent is strictly prohibited.

2. Permitted Uses

You may:

  • Share links to our news stories, social posts, or embedded videos for informational or non-commercial purposes.

  • Quote brief excerpts (up to 100 words) from our articles with clear attribution to Limitless Media News and a working link to the original source.

  • Use our headlines, story summaries, or featured images for online linking or social sharing, provided attribution and a direct URL are included.

3. Prohibited Uses

Limitless Media News licenses select original editorial content, including articles, photographs, and video, to qualified media organizations, broadcasters, publishers, documentary producers, and other approved editorial users.

Limitless Media News produces original breaking news and editorial video covering public safety incidents, severe weather, community events, government meetings, and other newsworthy events throughout Minnesota.

Video may be available in HD or 4K formats and may include:

  • Breaking news coverage

  • Structure and commercial fires

  • Police and public safety incidents

  • Traffic crashes

  • Severe weather

  • Community events

  • Raw and edited video

Associated Press Distribution

Select editorial video produced by Limitless Media News is available to participating news organizations through the Associated Press.

Availability through the Associated Press varies by story and distribution status. If the footage you are seeking is not available through AP, or if you prefer to license content directly from Limitless Media News, please contact us using the information below.

Direct Licensing

Organizations wishing to license our content directly should include:

  • The title or description of the requested content

  • Date and location of the event

  • Intended use (broadcast, digital, print, documentary, etc.)

  • Your organization

  • Your publication deadline

Breaking news licensing requests are monitored throughout the day, and we strive to respond as quickly as possible. Routine licensing requests are typically answered within one business day.

5. Attribution Requirements

If permission is granted for republication, all materials must include:

7. Editorial Content & Media Licensing

Limitless Media News provides licensing opportunities for original editorial content captured by our journalists and contributors.

Single-Use Editorial License

Organizations may license individual news articles, photographs, or video for a single editorial publication or broadcast.

Approved use requires proper attribution and compliance with the agreed licensing terms.

Photo & Video Licensing

Original photographs and editorial video may be licensed for:

  • Television broadcasts

  • Digital news platforms

  • Documentary productions

  • Streaming services

  • Editorial publications

Each license is issued based on the intended use, audience, geographic distribution, duration, and whether exclusive rights are requested.

Associated Press Availability

Select editorial video captured by Limitless Media News is distributed through the Associated Press for participating news organizations.

Organizations that receive content through the Associated Press may be able to obtain eligible footage through their existing AP services.

If a requested video is unavailable through AP, direct licensing from Limitless Media News may still be available.

Direct Licensing

Many organizations choose to work directly with Limitless Media News for:

  • Exclusive footage

  • Additional clips not distributed through AP

  • Raw video

  • Extended scene coverage

  • Custom requests
