Limitless Media – Community Content Usage Permission Agreement

Limitless Media is built on the belief that informed communities are stronger communities. Every day, we both receive and discover powerful photos, videos, and stories from the people who live, work, and care about their communities, including those who live in the south metro Twin Cities. Your contributions help us share timely information, highlight local moments, and keep our neighbors connected and safe.

When community members share content with us, whether directly or through publicly posted media, we use it to create accurate, compassionate, and community-focused reporting across our website, mobile apps, social media platforms, and partner news outlets.

This agreement explains how your content may be used when you permit us to do so.

Why We Ask for Permission

When you grant Limitless Media permission, you allow us to help tell the story of our community. With your approval, we may republish or distribute your content, in whole or in part, across digital, social, and broadcast platforms.

Our goal is always to amplify local voices, strengthen public awareness, and ensure that important events are communicated clearly and responsibly.

Whenever possible, our media partners and we will credit the original creator so the community knows who helped bring the story forward.

By accepting the Limitless Media Content Usage Agreement, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Community Ownership & Rights

You affirm, represent, and warrant that:

  • You created the content or are submitting it to us with permission from the creator, or

  • You have the necessary rights or authority to share it, and

  • No outside party holds exclusive rights preventing its use.

2. You Keep Full Ownership

You remain the complete owner of your content. By granting us permission, you’re simply allowing us to help share it with the community and with our trusted partners.

3. How Limitless Media May Use the Content

You grant Limitless Media and our partners a:

Worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, commercial, sub-licensable, and transferable license to Use, Reproduce, Adapt or edit, Create derivative works, Distribute, Display, Publish or broadcast your content across any format or communication channel.

This includes Website articles, Social media posts and reels, Mobile app alerts, Broadcast and streaming news, Community safety updates, Weather or incident reporting. Our use is always in the context of news, public information, or community engagement.

Media Partners & Distribution Networks

In addition to publishing content on our own platforms, Limitless Media may share approved content with trusted distribution partners, including our media broker StormChasingVideo.com (SCV) and The Associated Press (AP). These partners may further distribute your content to regional, national, and international news organizations as part of their standard newsgathering services. While we encourage all partners to credit community contributors, specific attribution practices may vary by outlet.

4. Community Credit

We value transparency and giving credit where it’s due. Limitless Media will make every reasonable effort to attribute your content to you. However, because partners have their own editorial processes, attribution cannot be guaranteed across all publications.

5. Privacy & Verification

To maintain trust and accuracy:

  • We may share limited personal information (such as your name, username, phone number, or email) with our media partners to allow them to verify the authenticity of your content independently.

  • We never sell personal information.

  • Verification is a standard part of responsible journalism.

6. Requests to Remove Content

If you no longer want your content featured on Limitless Media platforms:

  • We can fulfill removal requests on our own website and social channels moving forward.

  • We cannot remove or recall content already published or redistributed by partners, archives, or third-party platforms, as this is governed by the perpetual license and distribution process.
