18-Year-Old Killed After Vehicle Strikes Bridge on Highway 100 in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON: An 18-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on Highway 100 in Bloomington, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash happened around 5:33 a.m. on Aug. 12 on southbound Highway 100 at Interstate 494.
According to the State Patrol, a 2014 Honda Odyssey was traveling southbound on Highway 100 when the driver lost control and struck the bridge at Interstate 494.
The 18-year-old driver, who was from Bloomington, died in the crash. The State Patrol reported that he was not wearing a seat belt.
Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash. Whether alcohol was involved remained pending in the State Patrol's report.
Bloomington police and fire personnel, Edina police, MnDOT and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office assisted at the scene.
