Burnsville Police Investigating Fatal Shooting Near Andrews Pointe Townhomes

BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA - Burnsville police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Sunday night, January 25, 2026, in the area of Andrews Pointe Townhomes.

According to the Burnsville Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 10:38 p.m. to a report of a shooting in a parking lot near Andrews Pointe Townhomes and East 117th Street. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot.

Burnsville police officers immediately began life-saving measures until paramedics arrived on the scene. The victim was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center for emergency treatment. Despite medical efforts, police confirmed the man later died from his injuries.

Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or any suspect information at this time. Police say the incident remains under active investigation.

Officials emphasized there is no known threat to the public related to this incident. Investigators continue to work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including what led up to it and whether any individuals remain outstanding.
