Burnsville Police Investigating Shell Casings Found at Lac Lavon Park

BURNSVILLE, MN: Burnsville Police are investigating after shell casings were discovered at Lac Lavon Park over the weekend. Limitless Media News received tips from residents after noticing a large police presence in the area of Lac Lavon Park and 160th Street on Sunday morning, July 5, between approximately 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
After reaching out to the Burnsville Police Department for more information, officials confirmed that officers responded on Sunday morning after receiving a report of shell casings in the northernmost parking lot at Lac Lavon Park. According to police, officers secured and processed the scene, collecting evidence as part of the investigation.
At this time, Burnsville Police said they did not receive any reports of a shooting associated with the incident and are not aware of any witnesses or injuries related to the shell casings. Investigators have not released additional information regarding how many shell casings were recovered, when they may have been fired, or whether they are connected to any known incidents.
