Carver County Man Charged with Five Felonies in Child Sexual Abuse Material Investigation

CARVER MN: A 49-year-old man faces five felony charges in Carver County after allegedly disseminating child sexual abuse material on multiple occasions late last year, according to court documents filed by prosecutors.

Travis Bruce Oye (DOB: 01/04/1977) is charged with five counts of felony dissemination of child sexual abuse material involving a victim under the age of 14, pursuant to Minnesota Statute § 617.247.3(b)(3).

According to criminal complaint filed, the alleged offenses occurred in Carver County across five separate dates between November and December 2025:

  • Count I: On or about Nov. 15, 2025

  • Count II: On or about Dec. 1, 2025

  • Count III: On or about Dec. 22, 2025

  • Count IV: On or about Dec. 23, 2025

  • Count V: On or about Dec. 27, 2025

The charging documents state that on each occasion, Oye knowingly, or with reason to know the content and character, distributed illicit materials involving a minor under 14 years old.

Each count carries a maximum statutory penalty of up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to $20,000, or both.

As with all criminal proceedings, a criminal complaint contains allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
