Published: March 18th, 2026

EAGAN, MN: Emergency crews responded Wednesday morning to a crash in Eagan that brought down power lines and forced a temporary road closure.

Eagan Fire and Eagan Police were dispatched around 9:25 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, to the area of Blackhawk Road near Meadowlark Road for a vehicle that had struck a telephone pole. The impact caused the pole to snap and the power lines to fall into the roadway, creating a hazardous situation and prompting officials to shut down a portion of Blackhawk Road between Meadowlark Road and South Meadowlark Road. Traffic was able to navigate around the scene via a short detour on Meadowlark Road and South Meadowlark Road.
