Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Blackhawk Road in Eagan

EAGAN, MINNESOTA - A bicyclist was seriously injured Monday afternoon following a crash involving a motorcycle on Blackhawk Road in Eagan.
Eagan Fire, Eagan Police, and M Health Fairview medics were called to the crash at approximately 2:10 p.m. Monday, September 7, 2026, on northbound Blackhawk Road between Bear Path Trail and Michael Point Drive. The crash occurred where the Highline Trail crosses Blackhawk Road. Emergency crews arrived and provided medical care to those involved. The bicyclist was transported by ambulance to a hospital in serious condition. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available beyond the initial report of serious injuries.
It was not immediately known whether the motorcyclist suffered any injuries in the crash. The motorcyclist stopped following the collision and remained at the scene.
Blackhawk Road Closed During Investigation
Eagan Police closed Blackhawk Road between Bear Path Trail and Cliff Lake Road while officers investigated the crash and processed the scene. The closure affected traffic through the area for approximately an hour as investigators worked to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision. Blackhawk Road reopened at approximately 3:20 p.m.
