EAGAN, MN: Three people were injured and transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning at an intersection leading to southbound Highway 77 (Cedar Avenue) in Eagan.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, troopers responded to the crash at approximately 2:24 a.m. on June 21, 2026, at the intersection near the ramp from Cliff Road to southbound Highway 77. Investigators say a Chevrolet Equinox was traveling southbound through the intersection while attempting to access southbound Highway 77. At the same time, a Nissan Altima was traveling eastbound on Cliff Road. Both vehicles entered the intersection simultaneously, resulting in a T-bone-style collision.
The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles and prompted a large emergency response to the area.
Three individuals involved in the crash sustained injuries and were transported by ambulance to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment. Authorities have not released information regarding the severity of the injuries or the identities of those involved. We’ve received messages from family members of some of those involved in this crash, though, and it sounds like at least one person had to get surgery as a result of injuries from the crash.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that no arrests were made for impairment. They did not say if there was an indication that alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
Assisting at the scene were the Minnesota State Patrol, Eagan Police Department, Eagan Fire Department, and M Health Fairview EMS.
The crash remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol. No additional information has been released at this time.
