Large Police Response Near Eagan Taco Bell Tied to Traffic Stop, Warrant Arrest

EAGAN, MINNESOTA: A large police presence that drew attention along Town Centre Drive in Eagan Saturday evening has been confirmed to have stemmed from a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of a vehicle occupant with an outstanding warrant. The incident occurred on Saturday, August 8, 2026, near the Taco Bell along Town Centre Drive.
Limitless Media initially received video from the scene showing a significant law enforcement presence in the area. At the time, witnesses reported seeing what appeared to be two people taken into custody, although authorities had not yet confirmed those details. Eagan Police have since provided additional information about what prompted the response.
According to the Eagan Police Department, an officer conducted a traffic stop at approximately 7:55 p.m. for an equipment violation. During the stop, police determined that one of the vehicle's occupants had an outstanding warrant for their arrest. Police said the individual was subsequently taken into custody.
The department's update did not identify the person arrested or provide information about the warrant, including which agency or jurisdiction issued it or what alleged offense it was connected to. The incident initially attracted attention because of the number of law enforcement vehicles seen near the traffic stop. Video provided to Limitless Media showed a substantial police response along Town Centre Drive in front of the Taco Bell.
The subsequent update from Eagan Police confirms at least one arrest, involving the occupant who was found to have an outstanding warrant.
