Search Warrant Executed in Eagan

According to court documents, members of the Dakota County Drug Task Force and Eagan SWAT executed a search warrant at a residence in the 3300 block of River Bluff Drive in Eagan at approximately 6:30 p.m. on June 22, 2026. Authorities said the SWAT team initially called the residence and instructed the occupants to come outside.

While officers were monitoring the property, investigators allege they observed Joseph Arnould exit through a rear sliding door and walk into the backyard. Court records state officers saw him appear to conceal an item before returning inside the residence. He later exited through the front door and was taken into custody.

Candace Arnould also exited the home and was detained without incident, according to the complaint.

Location of incident in Eagan, Minnesota.

Methamphetamine Allegedly Hidden in Backyard

After detaining the occupants, officers searched the area where Joseph Arnould had allegedly been seen hiding something. Investigators reported finding a prescription bottle and a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance. Preliminary field testing indicated the substance was methamphetamine.

According to the complaint:

  • The prescription bottle contained approximately 4.22 grams of methamphetamine.

  • The plastic bag contained approximately 5.03 grams of methamphetamine.

  • The combined weight totaled approximately 9.25 grams.

Statements to Investigators

Court documents state that after being advised of his Miranda rights, Joseph Arnould admitted the substance he attempted to hide was methamphetamine. Investigators say he told officers the drugs had been received through the mail but declined to identify who had sent them.

After being advised of her Miranda rights, Candace Arnould allegedly told investigators that the methamphetamine had been sent to them by one of her relatives.

Both were subsequently charged with felony fifth-degree controlled substance possession.

Both defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. No additional details regarding the underlying search warrant investigation were immediately available.
