Farmington Launches Citywide Speed Limit Study, Seeks Public Feedback
FARMINGTON MN: - The City of Farmington is asking residents and drivers to weigh in as it begins a citywide study examining speed limits and traffic concerns throughout the community.
Rather than reviewing speed limit concerns individually, Farmington is taking a citywide approach similar to other communities in the area. The study will consider speed limit concerns and public feedback together as the city evaluates potential changes.
As part of the process, the city has launched an interactive comment map where residents can identify locations and provide feedback about speed limits and other related concerns.
“Providing your feedback on our comment map helps provide information back to the City while also helping to shape the future of Farmington,” the city said in announcing the study.
The public comment map will remain open through October 15, 2026.

Following the public feedback period, the city will continue working on the study, which is expected to be completed in early 2027.
