BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA – Police are asking for the public’s help following the discovery of a man’s body at Interlachen Park in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Burnsville Police responded to the park around 8–8:30 a.m., where an adult male was confirmed deceased at the scene.

As the investigation continues, police are specifically seeking information or security camera footage from anyone in the vicinity of Interlachen Park between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Detectives are asking residents or businesses nearby to review any surveillance systems that may have captured movement or activity during that time frame.

“We are asking anyone who may have heard or saw anything to contact us,” said Sergeant Lauren Olson. “Businesses or residents with security footage that shows activity during this time can help us in our investigation into what happened.”

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner is still working to determine the cause of death. Police noted that some post-mortem testing can take days or weeks to complete. While the cause remains undetermined, authorities say they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.

Anyone with information or video footage is asked to contact Sergeant Lauren Olson at 952-641-1158.

This remains an active investigation; further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
