LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA: A significant law enforcement presence was reported in a Lakeville neighborhood late Saturday night after a juvenile allegedly fled from officers while operating an electric motorcycle, according to authorities.

According to the Lakeville Police Department, the incident remains under active investigation. Authorities confirmed that a juvenile was taken into custody without incident after allegedly fleeing from officers while riding an E-moto, a term commonly used to describe electric-powered motorcycles or off-road electric bikes.

The circumstances leading up to the attempted stop and subsequent pursuit have not yet been released. Police have not provided information on how long the incident lasted, whether any charges are anticipated, or whether any injuries occurred.

Lakeville Police tell Limitless Media News that several neighboring law enforcement agencies assisted Lakeville officers during the response, including the Dakota County Sheriff's Office, Farmington Police Department, and Burnsville Police Department.

Witnesses reported to Limitless Media that they saw a large police presence in the neighborhood as officers worked to locate and apprehend the juvenile. Authorities stated the individual was ultimately taken into custody without further incident. Because the suspect is a juvenile, additional identifying information is not expected to be released.

Again, Lakeville Police indicated that the case remains under investigation and that additional details may become available as the investigation progresses.
