Man in His 20s Dies After Shooting on Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS: The Minneapolis Police announced today that they were investigating a homicide that occurred this morning on Chicago Avenue.

At approximately 11 a.m. today, 3rd Precinct officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Chicago Avenue. Preliminary information indicates that an adult male in his 20’s was shot while outside a building at the listed location. The adult male was taken by ambulance to HCMC. Despite lifesaving measures taken while both enroute to and at the hospital, the adult male died.

Homicide investigators are working to determine the sequence of events that led to the shooting. 

MPD Forensic Scientists processed the scene and collected evidence.
