HENNEPIN COUNTY MN: A Minneapolis man has been charged in Hennepin County District Court with multiple sex-crime offenses stemming from allegations involving a teenage victim.

According to a criminal complaint filed June 10, prosecutors charged 18-year-old Jhordan Alexis Pinto Verdezoto, of Minneapolis, with one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, and one count of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Court records allege that on or about Feb. 17, 2026, in Hennepin County, Pinto Verdezoto engaged in sexual penetration with a victim identified in court records only by initials. Prosecutors allege the act involved the use of force as defined under Minnesota law.

The first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge alleges sexual penetration accomplished through the use of force. The offense carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $40,000.

Prosecutors also charged Pinto Verdezoto with third-degree criminal sexual conduct, alleging the victim was between the ages of 14 and 15 at the time of the alleged incident and that Pinto Verdezoto was more than 24 months older than the victim. That charge carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a fine of up to $30,000.

A third charge alleges fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct for nonconsensual sexual contact. The gross misdemeanor offense carries a maximum penalty of 364 days in jail and a $3,000 fine.

The allegations contained in a criminal complaint are accusations. Pinto Verdezoto is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
