Oakdale Couple Faces Multiple Felony Charges in Washington County Child Sexual Abuse Investigation

OAKDALE MN: An Oakdale couple is facing multiple felony charges in Washington County following an investigation that resulted in allegations of criminal sexual conduct involving a minor and the possession of child sexual abuse material.
According to separate criminal complaints filed in Washington County District Court, 46-year-old Angelina Olson and 48-year-old Andrew Olson were charged after authorities investigated allegations involving a juvenile victim.
Angelina Olson is charged with one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of soliciting a child to engage in sexual conduct. According to the complaint, prosecutors allege Olson engaged in sexual conduct with a victim between the ages of 14 and 16 while being more than 36 months older than the victim.
The complaint further alleges Olson solicited the victim, who was under the age of 16, to engage in sexual conduct.
The first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and a $40,000 fine. The solicitation charge carries a maximum penalty of three years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
Andrew Olson is charged with three counts of possessing child sexual abuse material and one count of soliciting a child to engage in sexual conduct.
According to the complaint, investigators allege Olson knowingly possessed electronic files containing child sexual abuse material. The complaint identifies three separate possession counts related to electronic storage devices or computer systems.
Each possession charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine for a first offense, while the solicitation charge carries a maximum penalty of three years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
