Published: April 29th 2026

MINNEAPOLIS MN: A Richfield man is facing multiple felony charges in Hennepin County related to the alleged nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images, according to a criminal complaint.

Curtis James Emery has been charged with three counts of nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images under Minnesota law. Each count carries a maximum sentence of up to three years in prison and/or a $5,000 fine.

According to the criminal complaint, on or about April 10, 2026, Emery is alleged to have intentionally disseminated images depicting an identifiable person engaged in a sexual act without that person’s consent. The complaint states that Emery knew or reasonably should have known that the individual did not consent to the dissemination and that the images were obtained or created under circumstances in which the individual had a reasonable expectation of privacy.

The complaint further alleges that the dissemination was carried out with the intent to harass the individual.

All three counts stem from the same alleged date and involve similar allegations regarding the distribution of private images without consent.

No additional details about the victim were provided in the complaint.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
