South St. Paul Man Charged With Felony Electronic Solicitation of a Child in Dakota County

SOUTH SAINT PAUL MN: A South St. Paul man is facing a felony charge in Dakota County after prosecutors alleged he used electronic communications to distribute sexually explicit material to someone he believed to be a child.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Dakota County District Court, Edwing Centeno Rivera, 25, of South St. Paul, has been charged with one count of Electronic Solicitation of a Child (Distribute Sexual Material).
The charge alleges that on or about May 29, 2026, Rivera, who was over the age of 18, used the internet or another electronic communications system to distribute material, language, or communications describing sexual conduct to a child or someone he reasonably believed to be a child.
Court records show the offense is charged under Minnesota Statute 609.352.2a(3). The offense is classified as a felony and carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a fine ranging from $3,000 to $10,000.
