Child Found Safe, Suspect in Custody

LATEST UPDATE: The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota BCA announced around 1 AM that Brynlee Nelson was found and is now safe. A suspect has been arrested in connection with her abduction. The Sheriff’s Office said more details will be released soon.


ZIMMERMAN, MN: Authorities are asking the community’s help in locating a missing 7‑year‑old girl, Brynlee Nelson, in the Zimmerman area.

Residents in the area between Zimmerman Home & Garden and Casey’s are asked to check their outbuildings, campers, ice castles, and other structures on their property for the child. Please also review Ring or other security camera footage if you have it.

The child was last seen wearing:

  • Black jacket

  • Blue snow pants

Authorities say they now have enough volunteers and appreciate the community’s support in the search effort.
