City of Apple Valley, Dakota County, Preparing for Heavy Traffic During 7 Brew Coffee Grand Opening Events

APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA - In an update from our original story we posted this past Sunday,7 Brew Coffee Set to Open Apple Valley Location June 22; Three Grand Opening Events Planned, City of Apple Valley and Dakota County officials are preparing for increased traffic near the new 7 Brew Coffee location in Apple Valley as the business begins a series of grand opening events expected to draw large crowds over the coming weeks.
The new 7 Brew Coffee, located at 15440 English Avenue, will host promotional events from June 19 through July 5, culminating with its official grand opening on June 22. The drive-thru coffee retailer is the second 7 Brew location to open in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
Officials anticipate heavy traffic based on experiences at other recently opened 7 Brew locations, where long vehicle queues have occasionally extended beyond private property and onto public roadways.
Temporary Traffic Control Plan in Place

To help manage expected traffic volumes, the City of Apple Valley has implemented a temporary traffic control plan that will remain in effect throughout the event period.
The plan includes:
Temporary traffic signage
Lane closures in designated areas
Off-duty police officers directing traffic when necessary
Ongoing monitoring and adjustments based on traffic conditions
City officials emphasized that all nearby businesses will remain accessible during the events, including McDonald's, HealthPartners, and ChafinVet.
"We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow during these events," the city said in a public notice.
Recommended Routes for Visitors
Customers attending 7 Brew promotional events are being directed to enter the area from southbound Pilot Knob Road via 152nd Street West, then continue east to English Avenue.
If vehicle lines develop, traffic will be directed to queue along the west side of English Avenue.
To prevent congestion, event-related traffic will not be allowed to make left turns from Pilot Knob Road onto either 152nd Street West or 155th Street West.
Motorists visiting surrounding businesses are encouraged to use 155th Street West and northbound English Avenue, which officials say will provide the most reliable access during peak traffic periods. Left turns from Pilot Knob Road onto 155th Street West will remain available for customers accessing nearby businesses.
Drivers are encouraged to follow posted signs, obey traffic control personnel, and allow additional travel time when traveling through the area.

Dakota County Monitoring Conditions
In addition to city efforts, Dakota County announced it will actively monitor traffic conditions surrounding the new coffee shop throughout the grand opening period.
County officials said traffic signal timing adjustments and other traffic control measures may be implemented as conditions warrant.
The county's involvement is intended to help maintain traffic flow along major roadways serving the Orchard Place development and surrounding commercial areas.
