APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA - Around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025, more than 300 students from Apple Valley High School participated in a coordinated walkout to protest recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids in the local community.
According to reports from individuals at the scene, students exited the school building in the afternoon before school let out and gathered outside campus grounds as part of the demonstration. The walkout appeared to be student-led and focused on expressing concern and opposition to federal immigration enforcement actions that have impacted families in the area. The protest was peaceful, with students holding signs, chanting, and standing together in solidarity.
We received word earlier today about the potential walkout and reached out to school officials for comment. We had not received any word from school officials at the time of publication. An email sent to parents, shared with Limitless Media, stated that school officials were aware of the student-organized walkout planned for around 2 PM on Monday. The email states that this walkout was neither sanctioned nor endorsed by Apple Valley High School.
The walkout comes amid heightened attention and concern about ICE activity in parts of Minnesota, including reports of enforcement actions near multifamily housing complexes and workplaces. Immigration issues have increasingly become a topic of discussion among students, families, and community leaders throughout the Twin Cities metro area.
