Blaine man charged in Scott County with first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving minor

SCOTT COUNTY MN: A Blaine man is facing a felony charge in Scott County after a criminal complaint alleges he engaged in sexual conduct with a child under the age of 14.

According to the criminal complaint, Jason Lee Ecker is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct under Minnesota Statute 609.342.1a(e), with reference to 609.342.2(a).

The complaint alleges that between approximately February 1, 2025, and February 28, 2025, in Scott County, Ecker engaged in sexual penetration with another person who was under 14 years old at the time. The complaint further states that Ecker was more than 36 months older than the complainant.

The charge is a felony offense and carries a maximum sentence of up to 30 years in prison and/or a $40,000 fine.

As with all criminal cases, the charge is an allegation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
