Boy Scouts Hosting Two Free Community Events in Apple Valley This Weekend
APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA - Families in Dakota County have two opportunities this weekend to experience the fun and adventure of Scouting, with back-to-back free events open to the public.
Scouts BSA Troop 9345 Fall Fun Night – Saturday, September 20
On Saturday, September 20, 2025, Scouts BSA Troop 9345 will host a Fall Fun Night at Lebanon Park/Camp Sacajawea (5121 McAndrews Road, Apple Valley). The event runs from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and is geared toward middle school students and their parents.
Attendees can enjoy an evening of snacks, games, and inflatable archery, while also learning more about the unique opportunities and life-changing experiences that Scouting provides. The event is free and designed as an introduction for families interested in learning more about what Scouting has to offer.
Scouting America Fall Kick-Off – Sunday, September 21
The following afternoon, Scouting America will hold its Fall Kick-Off Event at Lac Lavon Park (located at Garden View Drive and Highview Drive, Apple Valley) on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This community celebration will feature a wide variety of activities for kids and families, including:
Outdoor games and challenges
Scout skills demonstrations
Crafts and scavenger hunts
Prizes and giveaways
