Hit-and-Run Roll Over Crash Reported on I-35W in Burnsville; No Injuries to Pickup Occupants

BURNSVILLE, MN — Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash Saturday night along southbound I-35W in Burnsville that resulted in a hit-and-run investigation.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, troopers were dispatched at approximately 9:21 p.m. on March 28, 2026, to the area of southbound I-35W and Cliff Road. They were assisted at the scene by Burnsville Police and Burnsville Fire. Preliminary information indicates that a Mazda passenger car collided with a Ford pickup truck, causing the pickup to roll over, before the Mazda fled the scene. Authorities have not released a description of the suspect vehicle or driver at this time.

Officials reported that the four occupants inside the pickup truck, two adults and two children, were not injured in the crash.

The incident remains under active investigation, though the Minnesota State Patrol says there did not appear to be any pursuit of the suspect vehicle before the crash. No additional details have been released. Anyone with information related to the crash is encouraged to contact authorities.
