Driver Killed, Passenger Critically Injured After Fiery Crash on I-35E Exit Ramp in Eagan

EAGAN, MN: A driver was killed and a passenger suffered life-threatening injuries after a vehicle left the roadway, became airborne, and burst into flames on the northbound Interstate 35E exit ramp to Lone Oak Road in Eagan early Monday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:11 a.m. on the northbound Interstate 35E exit ramp to Lone Oak Road.
According to the State Patrol, a 2023 Honda CR-V was traveling northbound on Interstate 35E and exiting onto Lone Oak Road when it left the roadway to the right. The SUV became airborne before striking a traffic signal and then became fully engulfed in flames.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said the driver's identity will be released after it has been confirmed and next of kin have been notified.
A passenger in the vehicle sustained life-threatening injuries. The passenger's identity will also be released after family notification has been completed.
