Dump Truck Rolls Over After Striking Bridge on Highway 52 in Rosemount

ROSEMOUNT, MINNESOTA - A dump truck driver was injured Tuesday morning after the truck's raised dump box struck an overpass along U.S. Highway 52 in Rosemount, causing the vehicle to overturn, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:32 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, on northbound U.S. Highway 52 near Minnesota Highway 55.
According to the State Patrol, a Peterbilt dump truck was traveling northbound in the left lane of U.S. Highway 52 when its dump box was in the raised position. As the truck approached the bridge, the elevated dump box collided with the underside of the bridge deck. The impact caused the dump truck to overturn on the highway.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, and the driver was transported by ambulance to Regions Hospital with suspected injuries. Authorities have not released the driver's identity or provided an update on the severity of those injuries.
The collision also caused damage to the bridge. However, the Minnesota State Patrol said the extent of that damage has not yet been determined and will be evaluated as part of the ongoing investigation.
No other vehicles were reported to be involved in the crash.
The incident caused significant traffic disruptions along northbound Highway 52 Tuesday morning as emergency crews responded to the scene and worked to clear the overturned truck.
The crash remains under investigation.
