Eagan Police Arrest Two Suspects After Theft and Taser Deployment at the Eagan Outlet Mall
EAGAN, MINNESOTA - A theft investigation at the Twin Cities Premium Outlets in Eagan escalated Monday afternoon when one of the suspects approached officers with a knife, prompting a Taser deployment and two arrests.
According to the officials with the Eagan Police Department, officers were dispatched at 2:39 p.m. on September 1, 2025, to the Nike store, located at 3905 Eagan Outlets Parkway, after security staff reported a theft involving an adult male and an adult female.
Traffic Stop Leads to Confrontation
While searching the area, officers located a vehicle leaving the outlet where the female suspect had been. The vehicle was stopped near the intersection of Cedar Grove Parkway and Nicols Road, and officers began speaking with her. During the stop, an adult male approached the scene on foot quickly. Officers noted that he was armed with a folding knife and had the blade extended as he moved toward them. The male was later confirmed to be the second suspect from the Nike theft report.
Police deployed a Taser to subdue the man before taking him into custody. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Suspects Booked on Multiple Charges
The adult male suspect was transported to the Dakota County Jail and booked on charges of Second-Degree Felony Assault and Misdemeanor Theft. He is expected to have his first court appearance this afternoon. We will update this story with his confirmed identity after that first court appearance.
