Elko Speedway Set for 2026 Season Championship With Racing, Monster Trucks, Fireworks, and More

ELKO NEW MARKET, MN: The 2026 racing season at Elko Speedway will reach its finale Saturday, with championship battles on the track, plus monster trucks, school bus racing, a jet car, fireworks, and several other attractions.
The 2026 Season Championship, presented by Jerin Construction, will feature four racing divisions as drivers compete for their final points of the season. Additional prize money will also be available for fast qualifiers and drivers who take on the track's ultimate challenge. One of the biggest championship battles of the night will come in the NASCAR Late Models, where reigning champion Chris Marek enters the finale with veteran driver Chad Walen close behind in the standings.
The final night of racing will determine whether Marek can defend his championship or Walen can overtake him for the 2026 title.
Another storyline to watch involves rookie Jimmy O'Meara III, who moved into the NASCAR Late Models this season after competing in the Thundercars. O'Meara earned Rookie of the Year honors in the Thundercars last season and will have an opportunity Saturday to add NASCAR Late Model Rookie of the Year honors to his racing résumé.
More Than Championship Racing
While the championship races will be at the center of Saturday's event, Elko Speedway has also planned a full slate of entertainment throughout the evening.
In addition to the four racing divisions, spectators can expect monster trucks, a jet car, Timberworks Lumberjack Show, school bus racing, drifter cars, trailer races, and spectator drags. A petting zoo will also be available as part of the event's family activities.
The night is scheduled to conclude with a large fireworks display over the speedway.
Schedule and Ticket Information
Spectator gates are scheduled to open at 4 p.m. Saturday, followed by qualifying at 4:45 p.m. Opening ceremonies are scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are priced at $25 for adults, $23 for seniors and military members, $15 for students ages 12 to 17, and $6 for children ages 6 to 11. Children ages 5 and younger are admitted free.
