Four Dead, Including Three Children, in White Bear Lake House Fire

WHITE BEAR LAKE: Four people, including three children, died in a devastating house fire early Saturday morning in White Bear Lake, according to the White Bear Lake Fire Department.

Emergency crews were called at approximately 5:26 a.m. on March 21, 2026, to a residential structure fire in the 2100 block of Richard Avenue. Neighbors who called 911 reported flames coming through the roof and indicated that people were likely still inside the home.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a fully involved structure fire and immediately began suppression efforts. During their response, crews located one adult, three children, and a dog inside the residence. All were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Multiple agencies responded to assist, including fire departments from Vadnais Heights, Mahtomedi, Maplewood, Oakdale, North St. Paul, Little Canada, and Lakeview EMS, along with the White Bear Lake Police Department.

The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office is leading the investigation into the cause of the fire.

Officials expressed condolences to those affected, calling the incident a tragedy for the community. Additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
