Federal Agents Search Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Home

WASHINGTON: - Federal agents reportedly executed a judicially authorized search warrant at U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar’s home on Monday, as part of an ongoing investigation, according to a statement from Minnesota Republican Party Chair Alex Plechash.
Following the reported search, Plechash issued a statement referencing Omar’s previous comments about criminal investigations and the rule of law.
Rather than issuing a separate position, Plechash cited remarks attributed to Omar in 2023, including her statement that “No one is above the law.”
“We couldn't agree more, Congresswoman. We're sure you still feel the same way now that it's your front door. Minnesotans will be watching closely, and so will we,” Plechash stated.
Omar also responded on social media, accusing President Donald Trump of using federal law enforcement to target political opponents.
“Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement,” Omar wrote.
She concluded her statement by saying, “I will not be silenced.”
The reported search does not establish criminal wrongdoing. The details of the investigation and whether any charges will be filed remain unclear.
