Forest Lake Camp Staffer Charged with Felony Privacy Violation Involving Minor

FOREST LAKE MN: — An 18-year-old summer camp employee is facing a felony privacy charge in Washington County District Court after authorities allege he secretly photographed a child inside a bathroom stall during a summer camp program in Forest Lake.
Levi Matthew Molitor, 18, was charged with one count of felony interference with privacy against a minor under 18 with sexual intent. Under Minnesota Statute 609.746.1(h), the charge carries a maximum penalty of up to four years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
According to the criminal complaint, law enforcement opened an investigation on Aug. 23, 2026, after receiving a report from the child's father.
Investigators said Molitor initially denied taking any photos following a reading of his Miranda rights. According to charging documents, Molitor subsequently admitted during the interview to taking a photograph of the victim inside the bathroom stall.
A complaint warrant was issued following the investigation, and court records indicate Molitor was held at Winona County Jail.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
