Hennepin County Task Force Tracks Possible Armed Robbery Suspect in Burnsville

BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA - Law enforcement activity in Burnsville Thursday afternoon was connected to a Hennepin County task force investigation involving a possible armed robbery suspect who was reportedly wanted on a warrant, according to information obtained by Limitless Media News from the Burnsville Police and Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.
The activity was reported shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, in the area of the 3500 block of County Road 42 West, near Modern Sportsman in Burnsville. According to information obtained by Limitless Media News, a Hennepin County task force was tracking an individual described as a possible armed robbery suspect with an outstanding warrant who was potentially armed.
The Burnsville Police Department was initially called to the area to assist the task force. However, responding Burnsville officers were later slowed to a routine response, indicating an emergency response from the department was no longer needed. Burnsville police cleared the incident at approximately 1:03 p.m., only minutes after the initial call for assistance, according to police incident records.
Limitless Media News contacted the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office seeking additional information about the law enforcement activity and the circumstances surrounding the investigation. A spokesperson for the sheriff's office said the matter remains an active and ongoing investigation and that the agency was unable to provide additional information at this time.
Authorities have not publicly provided further details about the alleged armed robbery, including when or where it may have occurred or the circumstances surrounding the warrant. It also remains unclear whether the individual being tracked was located or taken into custody.
