BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA: A fast-growing national dog daycare and boarding franchise is officially making its Minnesota debut, bringing its inclusive, canine-first philosophy to the south metro.
Hounds Town USA will open its first Minnesota location, Hounds Town Burnsville, with a grand opening on January 17, 2026, at 12255 Nicollet Ave, Burnsville, Minnesota, next to Bricksworth Beer Co. The location will offer interactive dog daycare, overnight boarding, and pet spa services to families in Burnsville, Minneapolis, and surrounding communities.

Founded in 2000 by former NYPD canine handler and Nassau County Police Department commanding officer Michael S. Gould, Hounds Town USA was built around a deep understanding of canine behavior and psychology. The brand’s signature model centers on natural “pack play,” allowing dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages to socialize and play together in carefully supervised groups matched by temperament rather than appearance.
Dogs at Hounds Town enjoy all-day play designed to meet their physical, mental, and social needs, often resulting in what the brand affectionately calls the “Hounds Town Hangover,” a tired, happy pup at the end of the day.
First Minnesota Location Marks Major Milestone
The Burnsville opening marks a significant step in the brand’s national expansion, bringing its total to more than 90 locations nationwide.
“Opening our first Minnesota location is an exciting milestone as we continue working toward our 10-year target of making sure every dog in America has access to a Hounds Town,” said Rob Flanagan, CEO of Hounds Town USA. “That vision only works because of dedicated local owners like Tony and Justine. They understand that Hounds Town isn’t just a business—it’s a responsibility to dogs, families, and the community. Their leadership is exactly what we look for as we grow thoughtfully and intentionally across the country.”
Local Owners Bring Dog-First Vision to Burnsville
Hounds Town Burnsville is owned and operated by local entrepreneurs Tony Conary and Justine Conary, who say the brand’s values and inclusive approach were what drew them to the franchise.
“We fell in love with Hounds Town because it truly puts dogs first,” Justine Conary said. “We’re excited to give Burnsville families a trusted place for their pets to play, board, and get pampered, and to do it in a way that’s inclusive, honest, and fun. It’s especially rewarding to be leading the brand’s entry into Minnesota.”
In addition to interactive daycare and overnight boarding, the Burnsville location will offer low-stress, affordable spa services, allowing pet parents to pick up dogs that are both happy and refreshed.
Giving Back Through Rescue and Adoption Support
Community involvement is a core part of the Hounds Town model. Hounds Town Burnsville will participate in the brand’s “Hounds Town Seal of Approval” program, which provides local shelter and rescue dogs with free daycare and socialization to help improve behavior and boost adoptability.
The Conarys also plan to partner with local rescue groups and shelters to host adoption events and support ongoing efforts to help dogs find permanent homes.
