Inver Grove Heights Brother and Sister Charged in Roseville Organized Retail Theft Case

RAMSEY COUNTY MN: An Inver Grove Heights brother and sister are facing felony theft charges after Ramsey County prosecutors filed criminal complaints alleging they repeatedly stole merchandise from a Roseville Old Navy store over several months.
According to the criminal complaints, 29-year-old Lakeya Renee Booth and 27-year-old Larell Martell Booth were involved in multiple theft incidents at the Old Navy located at 2480 Fairview Avenue North in Roseville between November 2025 and May 2026.
Lakeya Booth is charged with one count of organized retail theft and one count of felony theft. Larell Booth is charged separately with felony theft.
According to the complaints, on Nov. 26, 2025, the siblings selected and concealed merchandise together before leaving the store without paying for approximately $270 worth of merchandise. The complaint states Larell Booth handed Lakeya Booth an item to conceal during the incident.
The complaint states Lakeya Booth later returned to the store with another woman on Dec. 30, 2025, where they worked together to remove anti-theft security sensors and hangers from merchandise before leaving without paying for approximately $236 worth of merchandise.
According to the complaints, the siblings returned to the store again on April 18, 2026, and May 10, 2026, where they allegedly removed anti-theft security sensors and hangers from merchandise before leaving without paying.
The complaints state that during the May 10 incident, the siblings left the store and got into a Dodge Caliber with temporary plates registered to Lakeya Booth. Officers later stopped the vehicle, which Larell Booth was driving and Lakeya Booth was riding in as a passenger, according to the complaints.
Court documents state officers located stolen merchandise from Old Navy in plain view on the back passenger floorboard, along with stolen items from Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sierra, Cub Foods, and Aldi.
According to the complaints, merchandise allegedly stolen by Lakeya Booth during the four theft incidents totaled approximately $1,035, while merchandise allegedly stolen by Larell Booth during three of the incidents totaled approximately $799.
The complaint against Lakeya Booth also states she was allegedly selling stolen items on Facebook.
According to the complaints, Lakeya Booth committed the alleged offenses while charged in a Ramsey County drive-by shooting case and while conditionally released in a Dakota County misdemeanor theft case. The complaint states she also faces a gross misdemeanor theft charge in Dakota County and has at least 10 misdemeanor theft convictions dating back to 2018, along with prior felony convictions for domestic assault by strangulation and being a felon in possession of a firearm or ammunition.
The complaint against Larell Booth states he has prior felony convictions for fleeing police in a motor vehicle, two theft offenses, and a drive-by shooting. Court records referenced in the complaint state he was sentenced in January 2026 in a Carver County felony theft case.
Both defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
