1:15 PM UPDATE – Lakeville South High School: Lakeville Area Schools says all Lakeville South High School students are safe and no injuries have been reported following the threat and law enforcement response at the school Tuesday.
According to the district, students are being transported from Lakeville South High School to Hosanna Church, 9600 163rd Street W. in Lakeville. Parents and guardians may pick up students at Door 7.
District officials said that the threat was isolated to Lakeville South High School and that operations at all other district schools are continuing as normal. Though there remains an active lockdown at Lakeville North High School at this time.
UPDATE - 12:55 PM: Lakeville North High School Placed on Lockdown After Initially Entering Secure Status
11:15 AM UPDATE - From the Lakeville Police Department: Students and staff have been safely evacuated from Lakeville South High School. They were initially moved to Trinity Church and have since been transported by bus to Hosanna Church.
Students who drove to school will not be allowed to retrieve their vehicles at this time, according to the Lakeville Police Department, likely because of an ongoing investigation. We will share additional information as it becomes available.

“Police Investigating Anonymous Threat Involving Lakeville South High School*
September 22, 2026
The Lakeville Police Department is responding to and investigating an anonymous threat involving Lakeville South High School. Officers are coordinating closely with Lakeville Area Schools and other public safety partners. There are no reported injuries and no known acts of violence.
As a precaution, we ask people to avoid the area and not come to the school while the response is underway. Parents, students, and staff should follow instructions and updates from Lakeville Area Schools.
This remains an active investigation. We will share additional information through official City and school district channels as details are confirmed.”

ORIGINAL STORY - LAKEVILLE, MN: A significant law enforcement response is underway Tuesday morning at Lakeville South High School, where the school has reportedly been placed on lockdown.
Limitless Media became aware of the developing situation shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday, September 22. As of approximately 9:15 a.m., multiple law enforcement agencies were on scene at the school, along with personnel from the Lakeville Fire Department.
Lakeville South High School is located at 21135 Jacquard Avenue in Lakeville. The school’s regular day begins at 8 a.m., meaning students and staff were inside the building when the response began.
The circumstances prompting the lockdown and large emergency response have not yet been officially confirmed. At this time, Limitless Media has not received confirmed information regarding the nature of the incident, whether any injuries have been reported, or what specifically led authorities to respond to the school.
