EAGAN, MINNESOTA – Residents looking to give back to the community are invited to join the Eagan Lions and fellow volunteers for a Highway 13 cleanup event this coming Saturday in Eagan.

The community cleanup event is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Volunteers will help clean litter and debris along portions of Highway 13 as part of the Eagan Lions’ ongoing community service efforts.

According to the event organizers, Lion members, members of the public, friends, and family ages 12 and older are welcome to participate. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a permission slip before taking part in the cleanup.

Participants are asked to arrive at Yankee Tavern at 7:45 a.m. before crews head out for the cleanup effort. Organizers are also asking volunteers to park in the lot closest to the bocce ball courts in order to keep the front parking lot available for Saturday morning breakfast patrons.

The Eagan Lions have regularly organized volunteer and community improvement projects throughout the area, including roadside cleanups aimed at keeping local roadways clean and safe.

Community members interested in participating can register online through the event’s SignUpGenius page: SignUpGenius Registration Page

The cleanup provides an opportunity for residents to help beautify the community while spending the morning volunteering alongside neighbors and local service members.
