Man Arrested After Threatening Metro Transit Bus Passengers with Knife in Brooklyn Park

BROOKLYN PARK: A man was arrested Sunday evening after police say he threatened passengers on a Metro Transit bus while armed with a knife in Brooklyn Park.
According to the Brooklyn Park Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 5:43 p.m. on March 6, 2026, to the 6500 block of Zane Avenue North for a report of a man holding a knife and threatening people on a bus.
When officers arrived, they entered the bus and located the suspect still holding the knife and yelling at passengers. Police say officers repeatedly ordered the man to drop the weapon, but he refused to comply.
Officers then deployed a Taser to subdue the suspect and safely take him into custody.
Paramedics evaluated the suspect at the scene before he was transported and booked on felony charges.
Authorities said all passengers on the bus were safe and unharmed during the incident.
