Man Killed in Rollover Crash on I-94 in Maple Grove

MAPLE GROVE MN: — A 49-year-old man was killed Friday evening after the pickup truck he was driving lost control and rolled into a ditch while entering westbound Interstate 94 in Maple Grove, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash happened at approximately 7:48 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, as a black 2005 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling from westbound Interstate 694 to westbound I-94.
According to the State Patrol, the Silverado lost control and rolled over into the ditch. The driver, a 49-year-old man from St. Michael, died in the crash.
The State Patrol reported that the driver was not wearing a seat belt. The roadway was dry, and the Silverado's airbag did not deploy.
Whether alcohol was a factor remained listed as pending in the State Patrol's report.
North Memorial Ambulance and the Maple Grove Police Department assisted at the scene.
