Hennepin County Man With Prior Conviction Charged With 7 Felony Counts of Possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material

ST. LOUIS PARK MN: — A Hennepin County man with a prior conviction for similar offense is now facing multiple new felony charges alleging he possessed Child Sexual Abuse Material.

Justin Alexander Hassinger has been charged with seven counts of Possession of Pornographic Work Involving a Minor (Prior Conviction or Adjudication) under Minnesota Statute 617.247.4(b)(1), each a felony offense.

According to the criminal complaint, on or about April 23, 2025, Hassinger knowingly or had reason to know the content and character of materials he possessed, which allegedly included pornographic work involving a minor as defined under Minnesota law.

The complaint states that Hassinger has a prior conviction or adjudication for violating Minnesota Statutes 617.246 or 617.247, which elevates the current charges.

Each of the seven counts corresponds to alleged possession of separate pornographic works or files involving minors, according to the complaint.

Hassinger is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
