Minneapolis Man Charged With Felony Solicitation of a Child for Sexual Conduct

MINNEAPOLIS MN: A Minneapolis man is facing a felony charge after authorities allege he solicited a child age 15 or younger to engage in sexual conduct.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Hennepin County District Court, 57-year-old Bobby Lynn Coleman has been charged with one count of soliciting a child to engage in sexual conduct, a felony under Minnesota law.

Court records allege that on or about May 28, 2026, in Hennepin County, Coleman, who was over the age of 18, solicited a known juvenile age 15 or younger to engage in sexual conduct with the intent to engage in sexual conduct.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both, according to the complaint.

As with all criminal cases, the charge is an allegation, and Coleman is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
