South St. Paul Man Charged With Multiple Felony Criminal Sexual Conduct Offenses Involving Minors

SAINT PAUL MN: A South St. Paul man is facing multiple felony criminal sexual conduct charges in Ramsey County after prosecutors alleged he sexually abused multiple victims under the age of 16 over a period spanning several years.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Ramsey County District Court, Abimael Rios Ojeda has been charged with one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and multiple counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Prosecutors allege the offenses occurred between 2011 and 2018 in Ramsey County and involved multiple victims under the age of 16 with whom Ojeda allegedly had significant relationships. The complaint alleges both sexual penetration and sexual contact involving the victims.

The first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and a $40,000 fine. The second-degree criminal sexual conduct charges each carry maximum penalties of 25 years in prison and a $35,000 fine.

The allegations contained in the criminal complaint are accusations. Ojeda is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
