Minneapolis Man Charged in Connection with Two Brooklyn Park Home Invasion Sexual Assault Investigations

BROOKYLN PARK: Darius Olson-Baker has been charged in Hennepin County District Court in connection with the two Brooklyn Park home invasion sexual assault investigations that prompted authorities to form a dedicated task force earlier this week.
According to a criminal complaint, Darius Olson-Baker faces 10 felony charges, including four counts of attempted first-degree criminal sexual conduct, four counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, and two counts of first-degree burglary stemming from two separate incidents that allegedly occurred on July 17 and July 22, 2026.
According to the complaint, prosecutors allege Olson-Baker attempted to engage in sexual penetration with two separate victims under circumstances that caused them to reasonably fear imminent great bodily harm. He is also accused of engaging in sexual contact with the victims and of being armed with, or threatening the use of, a dangerous weapon during both incidents.
The complaint further alleges Olson-Baker unlawfully entered two Brooklyn Park residences without consent and assaulted the occupants, leading to the two first-degree burglary charges.
The charges stem from the same two Brooklyn Park home invasion investigations that led the Brooklyn Park Police Department to establish a dedicated task force as investigators searched for the suspect.
If convicted on the most serious offenses, Olson-Baker faces potential penalties of up to 30 years in prison, along with fines and conditional release as provided under Minnesota law.
The allegations contained in the criminal complaint have not been proven in court. Olson-Baker is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
