Man Found Stabbed to Death in Downtown Minneapolis, Homicide Investigation Underway

MINNEAPOLIS MN: A man was found dead with multiple stab wounds Thursday morning in downtown Minneapolis, according to the Minneapolis Police Department.

Police said First Precinct officers were dispatched at approximately 9:45 a.m. on May 7 to the 400 block of 10th Street South on a report of a man down. Responding officers located a deceased man near an outdoor bench suffering from multiple apparent stab wounds.

According to Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara, homicide investigators are now working to determine the sequence of events that led up to the stabbing.

MPD forensic scientists processed the scene and collected evidence.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.

The case remains under investigation. The MPD incident number is 26-118833.
