MISSING PERSON: Authorities Seek Public’s Help Locating 19-Year-Old Amy Plotts

TWIN CITIES, MINNESOTA -The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) and the Farmington Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 19-year-old woman.

Amy Plotts, who sometimes goes by the name Alex, was last seen after leaving her home late on January 3, 2026. According to authorities, Plotts used a ride-sharing service to travel to St. Paul. She was last seen in the area of the Wabasha Street Bridge.

  • Name: Amy Plotts (also goes by Alex)

  • Age: 19

  • Height: 5 feet tall

  • Weight: 100 pounds

  • Hair: Brown

  • Eyes: Brown

  • Multi-colored knit stocking cap

  • Oversized dark gray jacket

  • Brown zippered sweatshirt

  • Black sweatpants

  • Black Converse shoes with a flame pattern

Authorities say there has been no confirmed contact with Plotts since she was last seen, and concern remains for her safety.

The BCA is sharing this alert on behalf of the investigating agency, but is not leading the investigation. All tips, questions, or information should be directed to the Farmington Police Department.
