Structure Fire Damages Home in Burnsville’s Sunny Acres Community; No Injuries Reported

Published: December 11, 2025.

BURNSVILEE, MINNESOTA — Emergency crews responded late Thursday morning to a structure fire in the 400 block of Connelly Lane within the Sunny Acres Manufactured Home Community. The call came in around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025, reporting smoke coming from the structure.

Burnsville Fire, Burnsville Police, Lakeville Fire, and Allina Health medics arrived to find a working fire actively burning inside the residence. No one was reported to be home at the time, and no injuries were reported among residents or responding personnel. Because no one was home, emergency personnel had to force entry.

Fire crews worked quickly to bring the blaze under control. Due to the frigid temperatures, the City of Burnsville’s Public Works Department also dispatched a salt truck to treat the surrounding roadway and reduce ice hazards caused by firefighting runoff.

The cause and origin of the fire are still under investigation. Additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available from investigators and fire officials.
