Multiple People Taken Into Custody After Savage Shooting; One Seriously Injured

SAVAGE MN: Multiple people were taken into custody and one person suffered serious injuries after reports of gunfire in Savage Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
At approximately 4:45 p.m., Savage police and firefighters, along with several neighboring agencies, responded to multiple reports of shots fired near 143rd Street and Utica Avenue.
Police said responding officers took multiple individuals into custody. One person was transported from the scene with serious injuries.
Authorities said there is no threat to the public at this time.
The area remained an active crime scene Wednesday evening as officers continued their investigation. Police are asking the public to avoid the area until further notice.
