NORTH BRANCH MN: The North Branch Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a vehicle that allegedly struck a child last month.

According to police, the incident happened around 3:20 p.m. on February 17 on Ash Street near Ash Court in North Branch. Investigators say a black Buick LaCrosse struck a child in the area.

Authorities say the child is expected to make a full recovery.

Police have released the best available image of the vehicle and are hoping someone may recognize it. While investigators do not have a description of the driver, they believe the vehicle may have damage on the right side, possibly to the passenger-side mirror, from the crash.

Anyone who recognizes the vehicle or has information about the driver is asked to call dispatch at 651-257-4100 and ask to speak with an officer.
