Officer-Involved Shooting Reported Outside Regions Hospital in St. Paul

SAINT PAUL: An officer-involved shooting occurred outside Regions Hospital in St. Paul Monday morning after police responded to a reported domestic assault.
According to the Saint Paul Police Department, officers responded around 9:15 a.m. to the 400 block of Temperance Street. The caller told officers the suspect had fled and was armed.
Police located the suspect on the 200 block of East 12th Street, outside Regions Hospital, where an encounter resulted in an officer-involved shooting shortly before 9:30 a.m.
Officers immediately provided medical aid to the suspect, who is being treated at Regions Hospital. No officers were injured, and police said there is no threat to public safety.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has been requested to investigate the incident.
